What to Expect During an Acupuncture Session

Your visit begins with a discussion of your symptoms, health history, and wellness goals. Your provider will develop an individualized treatment approach and identify the acupuncture points appropriate for your needs.

During treatment, very thin needles are gently inserted into selected points on the body. The needles are typically left in place for a period of time while you relax. Many people describe the experience as calming and relaxing.
